Can I apply a standard column order across existing grid views and define the order for new grid views? RRS feed

  • Hello,

    We are 1.5 years into CRM Deployment. I am the Local Customizer.

    We have roughly 115 grid views across multiple modules (Leads, Opportunities, Requests, Activities, etc...). It has become a pain point for Management when pulling these grid views to deal with the various column orders. I have defined the ideal column order for each module, but applying them individually across all of the grid views is going to be a long and mind numbing task using the "Edit Columns" feature for each grid.

    Is there a way apply a standard column order across reports in a defined module (Opportunities for instance) so that when Management pull the reports they are all standardized. This order would apply to any new grid views that are created as well?

    Have a look at this tool: http://www.xrmtoolbox.com/

    Inside there is a "View Manager" tool that will help. Lots of other tools as well.

    More precisely you can used View Layout replicator in the Xrmtoolbox.
