My thread got deleted...Why? RRS feed

  • Question

  • If you goto my history I had a thread that I posted and an MVP posted back and gave useful information. This is not the first time I have noticed my threads get deleted?? How can I view them? It tells me I do not have permission...

I would like to know the reason why this happens if at all possible.

  • Probably because it had a lot of question marks; or an exclamation mark or .... at the end of the Title or anything else that was being used to try to draw people's attention to just that post.

Titles are only for problem descriptions. One question mark is OK but not exclamation marks; combinations like !? or anything else that isn't a normal part of a question.

I used to just edit the Titles but people ignored that and kept on doing it, so now I delete them. That works. They don't repeat.

P.S I could have deleted this one too - a total of four question marks and three of them together.

    FAQ sites: (SP 2010) http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com; (v3) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com and (WSS 2.0) http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com
Complete Book Lists (incl. foreign language) on each site.

  • I apologize Mike. I know you have helped me in the past I was unaware or didn't take the time to read the community rules. I understand now.

Looking back I see that the title had 2 question marks.

One last ? for you. Marc had posted a great response to my question. I tried google cache and history and pagemarking but couldn't find the article...

Could you let me view it one last time or is it forever deleted?

Thanks for your prompt response and detailed explanation.
