No Sound Whatsoever RRS feed

  • Question

  • Okay well,

I just downloaded a fresh copy of windows XP, and now my sound isn't working. I have everything plugged in, speakers and sound cards, but there is no sound coming out of either. I have a video card, and it seems to be working perfectly. I got some help last time by someone on the Windows xp newsgroups fourm,. but i can't find the site, or the thread. She told me to download something, and i did and it seemed to work.

It was called Vinyl Audio Deck, or Audio Codecs, or something, and it worked really well. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!!

    1.  Open XP's "Help and Support Center".
    2.  In the Search box type:  TROUBLESHOOTER  , and hit enter.
    3.  Click on "Sound Troubleshooter".
