Need Help With Restoring My Money 2006 Settings RRS feed

  • Question

  • A few minutes ago, I was trying to changes the categories in my Microsoft Money 2006 budget set-up.  I wanted to change two budget categories ("Ray's Gas" and "Bonnie's Gas" into just one categorie, "Gasoline").

No problem, as I saw how to do that, but after I selected "Ray's Gas," I must've accidentally hit a key, because all of a sudden "Ray's Gas" suddenly disappeared, before I could tell the program where to put it.  So now the question: is there a way to find where all of those transactions ("Ray's Gas") went? And can I somehow restore the settings back to where everything was?  I wish that Microsoft Money would have some kind of an "Undo" button, much like word processors have; that would really help in a case like this.  Any help would be much appreciated.

  • The undo is File->Restore. By default, Money 2006 keeps the latest 4 upon-exit backups (you can change that up to 99). Just don't overwrite the needed  backup.
