HPC Job Manager: Unhandled exception RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We have a cluster with Windows HPC Pack 2016 Update 2 running on a headnode with Windows Server 2016 Standard. When using the HPC Job Manager software we run into a crash whether it is run from the headnode or other nodes.

    The Error Message says:

"An unhandled exception occurred: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.. Try restarting HPC Cluster Manager, or contact your cluster administrator. If the problem persists, contact Microsoft Support. " with Retry and Cancel buttons (Either way the program simply closes after that).

The error occurs when switching between the Cluster Resources and Job Management in the Navigation Pane in the left. To replicate we load HPC Job Manager, click on the Cluster Resources button to switch to its pane, then click on the Job Management button to switch back, and we get the error message.

Any idea on why we get this error or how to start troubleshooting it?

    Thanks,

    -Michael
