What if folder on a Mac is larger than the space available on Live desktop? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm syncing between a Mac and a PC. When setting up the Mac I saw that it required that the folder be present on the Live Mesh desktop. So I'm wondering what happens if the folder being synced is larger than the space available on the Live Mesh Desktop. Also, if after the initial folder fills the desktop, is it going to be possible to sync any more folders?

  • It is the same for PC to PC or Mac to Mac with the Live Desktop.
If the single folder exceeds the 5 gig limit, you'll not be able to sync to the Live Desktop. You can configure the properties for the folder to not sync with the Live Desktop and it will only sync P2P between devices.
