Cannot save case record after adding contract detail RRS feed

  • Hi everyone,

    I have problems saving a case record. After I fill the contract detail lookup, the save is not happening when I press save. There is no error message of any kind. I suspect it is a security role issue, since we just started implementing security roles in the organization. The user have full permissions for append and appendto for contracts, and I did not find any other options relevant for contract detail.

    Any ideas on this one?

  • If you have the proper access to trace, you may get the required permissions which are missing. Use some tool like http://crmdiagtool2011.codeplex.com/ to get the trace details.

  • I managed to find the source of the error. There was a JavaScript registered on change of associated contract detail, which set another lookup. That lookup was for a custom entity and the user didn't have permissions for it. The interesting thing is that it did not give any errors. It even populated the lookup, but the contents were invalid (that is why the save failed).
