Addition of Sort By Date Posted Option.

    Question

  • Thanks!
I use the MSDN forums on a nearly daily basis. They are an absolute lifeline and I truely appreciate what you guys (and gals) at Microsoft do for us developers & techs by keeping these running!

I would recommend that you add sorting by Date Posted and possibly Date Answered to the sort options for the forum post listings. I often need to find a question I have asked in the past. I know approximately when I asked it, in relation to the other questions I've asked. However, since they're sorted in date last posted to, it's often very difficult to find the one I'm looking for. This is because I often don't know when they were last posted to. Sorting by date posted would be a BIG time saver! I could also see a possible desire for sorting by when it was first marked as answered. Just a thought! :o)

  • Nathon,

If you sort by "Most Recent Thread" instead of "Most Recent Post", you'll get the first request. :)  Most Recent Thread sorts (decending) by when the thread was started - in other words, but the Date Posted.

  • Great! Although sort by "Date Posted", "Latest Reply", etc. seems more clear to me, that'll work. :)
