Do you have huge number of files under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18

It appears that Mesh process generates private keys or something like that every 2 minutes under that folder as well as under your profile (same path, just use your name and SID in it). Can you verify you seeing the same?First check "All Users" folder via Explorer (shall be less files then your profile), DO NOT ATTEMPT to open same directory under your profile, in my case it had 200,000+ files.I have 12K files (50MB) under "All Users" and 200,000+ files (700 MB) under my own profile (I waited for 10 minutes to count files but eventually gave up after 200,000.It appears to be generated by wlcrasvc.exe process which Live Desktop I beleive.

Hi Lorry,
Our developers would like some additional information, if you're willing. They've asked me to pass on this request:
Can you ask customer for this:
Cd C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18\Dir * /A /OD > filelist.txt and send us this filelist.txtCollect LiveMeshLogs.cab
Dir c:\local.xml /s Get all these local.xml files
You can send all of these files to lmprev@microsoft.com.
Thanks,

Not in my case. There's only two files in there, and they certainly predate my use of Live Mesh. Also only a small number of files in equivalent personal profile folder.Thursday, November 13, 2008 9:32 PM

All Users\ -> Empty
My profile -> Empty
Go figure... :(
I would certainly log this as a bug via connect or lmprev@microsoft.com if you are sure that it's wlcrasvc.
What happens if you stop the service and move the folders and then restart - are they recreated and do they grow at the same rate?

If I stop service then producing of logs stops but it restarts itself so I completely uninstalled Mesh and issue is gone now.Friday, November 14, 2008 1:29 AM

My personal user one has 24 files in it. I can't get to the All Users folder (Vista, Admin user with UAC turned on.)

Not in my case either....I have a massive CPU usage problem but thankfully not that issue...Hopefully they will get an update out for both so we can keep using the app....Friday, November 14, 2008 7:04 AM

I deleted all files and uninstalled LiveMesh completely from all systems (back to FolderShare untill Mesh leaves beta). So can not assist in debugging anymore.Monday, November 17, 2008 6:36 PM
