Chkdsk and Folder Duplication RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was having issues with a corrupt backup file and could not use the BBDB to save a copy either so I followed the following chkdsk instruction so that I could start cleaning up my backups and reclaim space. (note: i didn't use teh Remote to get into the server, I went through the Console Connection and used a plugin to get to the Desktop and ran a CMD from there). Chkdsk has been repairing many file errors on one of the drives.
Thing is most of these errors that are getting corrected by chkdsk exist in folders that have the duplication enabled. So wouldn't these repaired files come up as "File Conflicts"? And wouldn't one instantace of the mirror have a good copy?
How should I deal with this?

  • I would recommend to get a copy of files, which you still have not backed up. If access is not possible from the shared folders shortcut, you can try to use the method described in the FAQ How to recover data after server failure.
