Remove From My Forums

Exact phrase search, please!!!

I'm really surprised that, after all this time, and even with the site upgrade, MSDN forums still doesn't have the capability to search for an exact text string! This is a very frustrating limitation. I want to search for an error message ("member is not valid because it does not have a qualifying type name"), and get hits that contain words from that string, and no way to find only messages that contain the exact string.

Please add this capability! Or if it's possible, and I'm missing it, please help me learn how.

No idea. But, you could just bump it once a week or so. Good ideas tend to do that. Though, ultimately, this is the Forum Issues forum, the suggestion and feedback forum would be a better place for this.

This will open a support incident with our support team. I'd like to get this logged and verified.

Is this still being looked into as its nightmare trying to search for "windows 7" you just get loads of hits for windows.
