Office 2007 for Vista not "genuine"

Question
-
I seem to be having a similar problem with my Office 2007 not being considered "genuine". When I run the MGADiag (the snippet for Office is below) it seems to agree that my product is "100 Genuine". Yet I still get the error message when I run office that my version is not genuine. My version of Windows is Vista is also deemed to be "genuine" from MGADiag as well.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Greg

Your report is telling us that this is a Genuine installation of a Volume Licensing edition of Office Enterprise 2007. Presumably your use of this Volume License is in association with an organization such as a business, educational institution, or governmental agency that has a current and valid Volume License Agreement. If not, then this would be a nongenuine use of this Volume Licensing installation of Office. If you are an individual consumer and purchased this copy of Office thinking it was a retail license intended for consumers, it is not, so you would want to take this up with the seller.
Normally when the OGA Notifier reports a nongenuine installation of Office yet the mgadiag report shows it is Genuine, that tells us there is an issue with the license file for the installed Office. This is often due to the remnants of a previous nongenuine installation of Office. Does that apply to your situation?
To correct this problem, please work thru the methods in this KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919895 Usually running the FixIt in Method 3 clears up the old license file. Restarting afterwards and then visiting www.microsoft.com/genuine and clicking Validate Office should reset the Notifier to see the new license file.
Post back to let us know if the above solves your problem!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we are an educational institution and have about 3500 computers and use a Volume Licensing edition of OE 2007. The computer I'm having a problem with is my office computer at that institution. Only one that is having this problem so it's been confusing.
I'll try the steps you've suggested and post the results.

Hello GregMBlount,
Our experience here in the forum is that this condition is likely when the computer had, at one time, a previous installation of Office that was nongenuine. The license file from that nongenuine installation is not deleted when the program is installed so sometimes it "hangs around" and trips up the OGA Notification utility.
