  • Hello N Allan Williams,

    Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:

    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 103 Blocked VLK
    Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - 103 Blocked VLK
    Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 - 101 Not Activated
    OGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0

    The mgadiag report is telling us that your HP/Compaq computer has two installations of Office 2007:

    (a)  You have a nongenuine Volume Licensing Edition of Office Enterprise 2007 installed, and this was done with a now-blocked Volume Licensing product Key.

    (b)  You have a not-yet-activated installation of a retail licensed Office Small Business 2007 installed.

    The nongenuine Office Enterprise 2007 is being picked up by the Office Genuine Advantage Notification Utility and that is what is "gumming up the works."  Once we uninstall that and activate Office Small Biz 2007 everything should be fine.

    In order to Get Genuine, please use the Add or Remove Programs applet in Control Panel and uninstall the nongenuine installation of Office Enterprise 2007.  Afterwards, restart the computer twice.

    After restarting twice, open the remaining installation of Office by starting Word 2007.  Upon starting, Word should then present you with the Activation Wizard for Office Small Biz 2007.  Go ahead and activate online normally.  Once activated, close Word and restart the computer.

    After restart, and while keeping all Office programs closed for the moment, visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button.  Office Small Biz 2007 should validate normally.  After Validation completes, open up several Office programs to ensure that you no longer see the nongenuine messages.

    Finally, go to Windows Updates and if you have not already done so, choose to install Microsoft Update, which gets updates for Windows, Office, and MSN.  Once Microsoft Update is set up, run Microsoft Updates as many times as necessary to get your Office Small Biz 2007 installation up-to-speed with Service Pack 2 and the many more security updates.
