How to get the Execute... dialog box to pop up without using the F6 key in Notepad++ RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm taking a class in VBScripting where one has to press F6 in order to bring up an Execute... dialog box where a cscript command is entered to run the file. While in Notepad++ with the .vbs file open in the text editor pressing the F6 key does nothing. This function key is a recurring command in the lab assignment. Anybody here know a workaround; a special key that can bring up this dialog box so I can get the file to execute? I can save the file with a .vbs extension and double click on it and it will execute but that's not how the lab wants it done. Nobody has answered my post on Devry's discussion post and I cannot continue with the lab until I find a way around the F6 function key. I'd attach a screen shot so you could accurately see what I'm aiming to do but there's no function to do that here.

    Thank you
