Specifying a program's runtime screen resolution RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to change the...

    Properties—Compatibility—Settings—Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution

    option to, {run in 1024 by 768}

    Can I make this change under windows, or do I have to use a kludge like running qres.exe from a batch file?

  • On your Form Load

    me.location=new Point(0,0)

    me.width=my.computer.screen.bounds.width

    me.height=my.computer.screen.bounds.Hight ( For Fulls Screen)

    me.height=my.computer.screen.bounds.Hight -35( For fix Screen)

    and set Current Form BorderStyle=FiexedDialog

    Test it with Screen Resolution

    Thanks

  • There is no API to change the compatiblity settings. Is this for a few installations or for many? You are probably looking at compatibility shims if you want to change the compatible mode on the whole network. If you only got a few machines to change you can do it by hand.
