WD mybook world edition: Can I use it with Live Mesh?

Question
-
Hi,
I own and use a WD MyBook World edition 1T connected to my router. I am pretty happy with my purchase.
Since now I was using syncToy to sync my data between my folders (music, pictures, etc)
The question is: Can I use Live Mesh instead of SyncToy to sync between my desktop folders and my WD MyBook Word Edition Network shares?
(I am asking that because Live Mesh's only sync option is SkyDrive)
Thanks

Since you are referring to Windows Live Mesh, not Live Mesh - www.mesh.com, you are in the wrong forum.
For discussion of the new Windows Live Mesh (formerly Sync), (as well as the released Live Sync version) go here:
http://windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?productid=24
However, no need to go there for your answer. Live Mesh beta, Windows Live Sync, and Windows Live Mesh - the latter replacing the former two - do not sync folders with a local hard drive and an external hard drive. In your case, the external hard drive is apparently a NAS, attached to your router. Windows Live Mesh cannot sync between it and your PC since there is no client version to install on that NAS as there is on the PC.
Windows Live Mesh synchronizes between computers and optionally with SkyDrive for cloud storage.

Thank you very much for your information and prompt reply.
I am sorry for posting in the wrong forum. Obviously I was a bit confused about all those technologies that offer more or less the same thing (sync) implemented in different ways (and for different purposes).

No need to apologize. You are certainly not alone in the confusion due to the naming decision by Microsoft. ;-)
I'll add that I have used SyncToy quite a bit and still use it for a few things, but I decided to purchase Goodsync Pro which has considerably more advanced functionality. If SyncToy works well for you, great, since it is free. You might want to check out some alternatives for synchronizing files/folders manually/automatically based on your desire to keep your files automatically synchronized to your NAS.
