Add an HTML Web Part in Vail Web Site RRS feed

  • Question

  • One of the coolest features of Vail is the revamp of the remote access via a *.homeserver.com address.

It would appear that the Vail SDK would allow programming additional Web Parts to skilled ASP.net programmers.  But I think a simple HTML web part would be a great addition - then one could put their favorite web stuff on the page as a customization.

I guess I could just add to the links section but it doesn't seem quite the same....  ideas?

  • It sounds like an interesting idea, though a simple gadget may not be flexible enough to deal intelligently with any arbitrary HTML you might want to throw at it. And that would, of course, lead to bug reports because it wasn't able to render the front page of e.g. msnbc.msn.com correctly. :)

In any case, you should feel free to submit a product suggestion on Connect.

I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
