Restoring deleted files on shared folders RRS feed

    There have been several postings about the current inability to backup and restore the WHS OS, but I don't lose a lot of sleep over that. What I'm most concerned about is someone accidentally deleting a file on a shared folder. WHS provides a great backup solution for remote computers, but the fact that it doesn't even provide the option to keep past versions of files on shared folders seems crazy.

     

    Does anyone know of any add-ins that will address this?

    It does.  It's called Shadow Copies (a.k.a. Previous Versions).  Although right now there is a bug with it after rebooting your server (see here for details).
