CRM 2013 Outlook Client forces web client logon to open attachments RRS feed

  • I have users on 2013 Outlook Client for CRM and when they open a record and try to access an attachment, it brings up the web client logon page from ADFS.  There should not be a need to logon again as the user is already authenticated.  Any ideas?

    Was the issue observed only when accessing an Attachment or on opening of any record?

  • Hi, Ken, did you ever come across a workaround for this issue?  I have a customer reporting the same behavior, and it makes sense to me as Outlook appears to be opening a new session of IE to download and open the PDF.  I can't think of any way around this, but would love to hear how you addressed it.

  • We are on CRM 2013 SP1 UR1.  If I remember correctly, the UR1 resolved the issue.  We had a ticket open with Microsoft and it was a bug.  Be sure you are looking at SP! though, there are 2 upgrade paths.
