  • yes its necessary...the owners shud have some control over the contents of the site...then only they can control fake contents from their site...

  • just to let you guys know, that , there does esist in real, content moderation in wikipedia. this is how it works

    1. moderators select randowm articles for daily moderation. [there is a moderation team of wikipedia moderators for content moderation]

    2. even users, can moderate content, by reporting it to the administrator of the site.

    3. you always have to login to enroll for certain features.


    So it will take time to moderate all the pages of wikipedia. but as of now, content moderation does take place for every pages of wikipedia.
