Administrator account locked out after installing Domain Services Role RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am using Windows Server 2008 R2. I installed the "Active Directory Domain Services" role for testing purposes and when I tried to login after restarting the computer using the administrator account it created an administrator.<machinename> folder in C:/Users after login. I had MS SQL server 2008 installed on this machine. However, now i am unable to access the databases inside SQL since it does not recognize the administrator username and password. I removed the role and tried to login again but to no avail. It always logs in the administrator.<machinename> folder even though the username is 'administrator' for the account. All my data resides in the administrator folder in C:/Users

    Please guide.
