Hello hadit,
Yes, that is correct http://support.microsoft.com/gp/services_tab_1_nocharge/en-au this should have also been detailed in the documentation that came with your Windows. And when I said "Phone" support, I meant "One-to-one" support (including email and chat).
However, as I mentioned, the Microsoft Answer Forums http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7 are free and not only do Support Engineers work in those forums, but also very knowledgeable volunteer MVPs and Community Contributes.
Thank you,

Hello hadit,
I have checked your Product Key and it shows as Valid and Genuine. I don't understand what the support person meant by "key has expired". No Retail (or OEM) product Keys ever expire. It's possible that he meant that the 90 day free support (that comes with a Retail copy of Windows) had expired and in that case, you would need to pay to receive phone support.
Since your Product Key is showing as Genuine and there does not appear to be any other Non-Genuine related issue with your Windows there is not much more I can do for you in this forum. I recommend that you recontact phone support and ask what they mean about the key being expired. If they meant that the Free support had expired then you can decide whether you with to pay for support or not. As an alternative to paid support, you could posting your Backup and Folder issues in the Windows 7 Answers forum at http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7

Are you trying to tell me I paid full price for a retail copy and all I get for support is 90 days?
I wasn't using phone support, I was trying to contact them through e-mail, but when I entered my product key a box came up and told me my key had expired. I don't understand does that mean for $200 all the support I get is 90 days?
