CORBA Object method Invoke By IIOP.NET with vb.net RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am new i Corba technology. But I found that you can use .NET to execute methods in a corba server by using IIOP.NET.

    I have given the following Items:-

    Username =<UserName>

    Password = <Password>

    Origin ID = <String>

    IOR String

    IOR:0000000000000017264496D706C4E616D652F6869676873706565646C62702E6869676873706565646C6270312F5365727669636500000000010000000000000008000000004A414300

    corbaloc::<IP Address and Port>/standardImplName/highspeedlbp.highspeedlbp1/Service

    Method

    QRMS the parameters ID String, Name String

    Anyone have Idea to use the information I got.

    Than you.

  • I have found the solution. I need to compile IDL file to TLB and access the function through vb.net or C#

    To compile using MIDL

    Just use the visual studio command line

    MIDL <idl file> /tlb <outputfile.tlb>

  • Hi Annael Samwel,

    This forum is about the .NET Framework Visual Basic programming language, IDE, libraries, samples, and tools. (Not for VB6 questions). As your needs are more related to IIOP.NET, it would be out of this forums support scopes.

    Now, I would move this thread to “off topic”. If you any issues about VB.NET development, you are welcome to post them here.

    Thank you for your understanding and support.

    Best Regards,

    Albert Zhang
