The problems we are all having aren't isolated.  On a larger scale it's clear the changes to the algo only accelerated the share decline.  The largest and best software company on the planet is still getting the business from the competitor.  We've always used Windows XP and Vista along with almost all other MS products and love them.  This experience with live has been a disaster.

Considering just the time period the new live search was functional Live dropped an astounding 1.8% of share in one month from October to November.   Google grew another 2.2% with roughly 60% of US market share.

  • Quoting from the above, "It's clear the change to the algo only accelerated the share decline".  Ahhh.   Maybe that's what is torturing all the rest of us who are jumping through hoops and all the while it's the algo. We're all just Don Quixote's but, but, but, it's not our fault. I have faith that it will get sorted out. Someone a  on a white horse will vanquish the dreaded changes and the little people of the world will walk proud again with their website and the competition will have to yield some of the market share they've been enjoying.
