Windows Home Server Remote Access not working outside of LAN

Question
-
I recently built a small computer to be used with Windows Home Server, everything works fine, but when I try to access the domain name that i have set up, none of my browsers are able to connect. I am able to access the server's login page using its local IP address, but not the domain name/internet address. Any ideas?
I am using a DLink DIR-615 router with TCP ports 80,443,4125,3389 forwarded to the home server.Friday, April 16, 2010 8:27 PM

Have you tried on an external connection? Many consumer routers do not support internal loopback

Do you mean connecting my WHS to my modem?Sunday, April 18, 2010 2:16 AM

No, go to Starbucks or your local public library and try from there.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)Sunday, April 18, 2010 4:25 AMModerator -
I have tried connecting from other connections and it worked. I guess I should have tried more options beforehand, thanks for the help though!Sunday, April 18, 2010 2:05 PM
