  • Hello Joeragan Dasenk,

Remember, Released-to-Manufacturing (RTM) copies of retail editions of Office 2010 have not yet been released to the public for general sale, and Office 2010 has not yet been released for electronic sale from The Microsoft Store.

So right now there is no need for the Validate Office site to validate installations of Office 2010.  It is true that Volume Licensing editions of Office have been released to major VL customers, but these  installations of RTM Office 2010 would be in larger businesses and much of the time these organizations do not participate in the Validation process.

Assuming your installation of Office is from one such VL customer, please contact the organization's IT staff for further assistance.

  • Hello Joeragen Dasenk,

Do you have Microsoft Office 2010 installed on this computer?

If so, the mgadiag utility is reporting the same status number that it would report as if there is no Office installed:

What happens when you go to www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button?

  • yes microsoft office 2010 installed on my computer and have been active, when the validation office in 2010 considered that the office under the Office XP installed, not even detected the existence of office 2010 installation

Problem: There are no Office product is eligible for validation on this computer. This may be because one of the following:

    ■ Version of Office is installed on your computer is older than Office XP.
    ■ There are currently no Office applications installed on this computer.
    ■ version of Office that you used to be on the computer or other terminal server. Read more about this in the FAQ.
Solution: Buy a genuine Microsoft Office with a new computer, or from a retailer or software reseller near your place. Learn more about how to buy Microsoft Office.
please what happened to my machine, even I've tried clean install but the results will stay that way

  • Hello Joeragan Dasenk,

Why not wait a couple of weeks until after Office 2010 is released for general retail sale.  By then the Validation site should be ready to validate Office 2010.
