how to take effect after changing registry without rebooting

  there is a checkbox in the Power Management tab of USB Root Hub properties called "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power", once I uncheck it, the corresponding USB Root Hub in the registry will set HcDisableSelectiveSuspend=1 and take effect immediately.
  
  but if I set the registry vale manually, it won't take effect until I reboot the PC.
  
  Is there any way to make it without rebooting?
