"Invalid Signature" for executable file with valid certificate

Question
-
We ave a developed an application and code signed it with a certificate from Thawte.
The application is running on Windows 10 on multiple sites, but there is one company where the file always returns "Invalid Signature" when we try to execute it.
There is no error for all applications beside one that has the UAC Execution Level "requireAdministrator" set.If i right-click to open the properties of the executable, then the certificate status is "Certificate is OK".
Just this one app in the domain of one customer fails all the time. If I create a file without a certificate, then I get the same error message. Although that file does not have a certificate any more.
The application runs fine on all Windows versions on thousands of machines. Including some windows 10 machines.

It is a default desktop application, running since 7 years on many machines.
Just a small tool that needs admin rights to install a second service application and some start menu links.
We are now changing to VS 2013, perhaps that makes a difference. But still, why does windows report that the certificate is invalid if a right-click does not?Friday, November 13, 2015 1:29 PM -
