Problem restoring a One Care Backup RRS feed

  • Hi
    Hope someone can help?
    After reinstalling Vista, when i try to restore a One Care backup i get to where
    it asks which backup i want to restore and when i select a backup and click next
    it does nothing. All i get is my cursor changes to the little revolving circle and stays like that.
    Please help.

  • Where is the backup located that you are selecting?
    You may want to try performing a backup to that location first and then trying the custom restore option.

    I have since found that it was the Trial Version Of One Care that i had reinstelled which does not
    let you do a Restore. Just downloaded the right version and problem solved

  • The trial should restore just fine unless it is expired. The trial and the subscriber version are identical. I suspect that the actual solution was that you reinstalled OneCare which fixed a bad initial install.
    Glad to read that all is well, whatever the actual cause.
