    when I run windows server backup, I get message complete with errors message.  review of message states, does not have drive letter.  when I attempt to remove this item form backup, I get message stating that I can not remove it because it is part of barebones backup.  any thoughts.?

    Are you using Windows Home Server 2011?

    yes, windows 2011 home server.  this partition appears to be part of a both sector

    When I added a new storage drive I had to "mount" it.  You might give that a try.
