DNS ENTRIES DURING SETUP

Question
-
For some reason setup completed for me but with an error in regards to the dynamic creation of the required DNS entries. The error is shown below.
Warning
[0x03EC78E3] No DNS record is
found for the pool FQDN. Please
register the pool FQDN with DNS
before deploying Office
Communications Server in the pool.
OK, I don't mind doing this but I thought setup would have this covered providing you met the AD/DNS requirements. Is there a manual way of registering these records? Setup thinks it is complete so it doesn't appear I can run a repair.
I don't mind entering the records in my domain manually if this is necessary as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
DD

This is expected. OCS setup does not create the pool A record for you.

OCS does not create any DNS records for you - they must all be manually created.

The OCS 2007 Standard Server Deployment Guide covers the required DNS records that must be manually created in order to utilize Automatic Client Configuration.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb663700.aspx
It's under Step 2: Required DNS Records for Automatic Client Sign-In.
