Hi
The MCSD certifications are very recent certifications and they will not have a retirement date for a long time . The exams may get a new version in the future, then you will need to recertify on the newer version. So you can have multiple versions of the same certification on your transcript.

As Danny stated, the exams do not have retirement dates.
Note that the day you pass the third exam (these three (3) exams taken in any order), you will have earned the MCSD: Web Applications certification title. On that date, a two-year timer begins for your MCSD title on your transcript. After two (2) years, your MCSD certification will be marked as Inactive on your certification transcript. Your transcript will include your Active and Inactive dates.
I suspect you will need to take and pass a recertification exam to renew your MCSD credentials at that point. However, Microsoft is still trying to define their recertification policies and will announce them soon. Learn the latest here:
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/certification-exam-policies.aspx#dl-ID0EAAAAAAAAABANote that by passing 70-480 alone, you will earn the Specialist: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 title. This title does not retire. Instead, it will someday (years from now) be marked as Legacy on your transcript.
Good luck!
Best wishes, Davin Mickelson
