Activating - subscription already activated RRS feed

  • When my new computer was set up by Firedog it appears they activated my subscription, because when I go into live one care, it says subscription expires..., I do not get an option to subscribe.

If your subscription to OneCare shows expired in OneCare

    • Check your PC date and time.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About…
    • Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials

If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.

  • When I try to activate it tells me that the number is already been activated by another computer? This is the first computer that I have installed it on.

Jack, if you purchased a retail copy of OneCare and the first time you enter the retail key to activate, it tells you that the key has been used, I recommend that you exchange this copy at the store you purchased from or contact OneCare support, though the first choice is the better path.
