Thanks Cal
Will still not allow any new entries even though it does load the backed up file
Seems to me I had this happen before just cannot recall how I resolved it
By default, Money Plus Sunset keeps 4 upon-exit backups. I hope you did not disable that.
I would copy those backup files to other media, in case you have a disk problem.You may need to reinstall Money. To test your installation,
If still a problem, I would copy Sample.mny from your install folder
(typically C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money Plus\ ) to your
Documents folder. Open Money by right-clicking that copy of
sample.mny and choose Open. Did the file open? Can you make changes?
If so, your installation is probably OK.If no, reinstall Money. If yes, close Money. Since you already tried restoring your newest
backup file, right-click your second-newest *.mbf file (not from Sample) and choose Open.
Restore your file.Another thing that could help is to do a
File->RepairMoneyFile->StandardFileRepair level 2
to make a repaired version of your restored Money file. I still
think your second newest backup is a little more likely to work than
a repaired version of your newest backup.Let us know what happens.

Thanks very much! My Money did not need to be reinstalled so I made a copy of my newest backup (it is on a thumb drive) and did a Level 2 repair on it and all seems to be working fine. Thank you for your assistance, I guess I'd better write all this down for future use!
Regards,
Dayle
