Modifying a running job by adding a runtime RRS feed

  • Question

  • Using HPC Server 2008 version 2.2.1841.0 the commands to modify a running job to add or modify runtime does not seem to work.

I've tried both the HPC Cluster Manager GUI and the HPC PowerShell "job modify 212 /runtime:0:0:30"

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi,

Thank you for reporting this issue. It has been reproduced and added to our bug tracking system.

Other ways of seeing correct runtime for a job:

     - CLI: 'job view <ID> /detailed | findstr /i runtime' - will show runtime in seconds

     - PSH: '(get-hpcjob -id <ID>).Runtime' - will return job runtime as System.TimeSpan

    Thank you,

  • So the power shell script does seem to work - the problem, as I see it, was if I double click the Job in the Job Managment GUI and look at Job Details the runtime is the default value from the job template.

If you add "Run Time" column to the GUI, this shows the values entered.
