RunDLL remains after OneCare successfully removed virus threat RRS feed

  • Question

  • I still suffer an irritation when restarting the computer from a window that opens with, "Error loading...\Temp\uvssrsho.dll, ...uvssrsho.dll is not a valid Win32 application." message, this window appears to be all that remains from a virus program that would randomly open windows at any time, sometimes leading to less than positive interuptions.  Since the trial version of OneCare stopped the windows opening problem, I purchased the subscription and have been very pleased.

I have discovered the file location in my registry using RegEdit (which I have no business fooling with -- a little education is a dangerous thing), but hesitate to make changes without some experienced advice.  Should I just accept the goofy window will open everytime I restart, or could I pluck out the thorn?
