    Hi,

    I've just built a WHS with an old machine and was looking for some advice on whether my decided hard drive setup is likely to work.

    I currently have WHS installed on a single 200gb ide card, I would like to add two 2tb sata hard drives in raid via a pci>sata card, whilst leaving the WHSOS installed on the ide drive.

    Is this possible? Is it likely to cause issues with regard to backups/recoveries? Would anybody recommend a different setup?

    I wouldn't raid the drives. I'd let WHS use duplication to reduce the risk of file loss.
