Change display name of the parentaccountid field on Opportunity RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I was asked by a friend why he couldn't edit the display name of the parentaccountid-field on the Opportunity entity. We started looking into the issue and the managed properties is set to not allowed to modify display name.

Is there a good reason why you can't edit the display name? Seems a bit, well.... odd and not so thoroughly thought through if you ask me.

    Regards

  • Hello,

It is how it is. You can ask Gustav to start conversation with MS to have this possibility (pass greetings to him from his Ukrainian fellow).

Also you can open new thread with feature request on Connect.

Also you can fill display field (topic if I'm not wrong) using plugins/javascript. That could partially solve your issue.

Yes, that is oh so true, this is how it is... I suppose you can say that about lots and lots of things....

    Why not lock down everything......

If you change the label, it's pretty hard to find the field in an advanced find.

If you think this is as crappy as I do, vote on https://connect.microsoft.com/dynamicssuggestions/feedback/details/996226

    bye
