Unable to download course content RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to download course content, specifically "What's New in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007", also the course for Word, Access, Powerpoint, and Excel, and I am prompted over and over and over to install the E-Learning Offline Player, which is downloaded and installed.  Yes I tried uninstalling it, reinstalling it, rebooting, installed a new version of Flash.  All to no avail.  I am running XP, completely patched, and IE7.0.5730.13 128 bit.  I really need to download these courses and try them out in preparation for our Office 2007 implementation, HELP!

Sounds like we need to put you in touch with the team that supports the offline player. Can you please open a support ticket here:  https://support.microsoft.com/contactus2/emailcontact.aspx?scid=sw;en;1208&SD=lrn&WS=mylearning and ask for the support ticket to be transferred to the product team that supports the offline player.  The support team will more than likely come back with a series of questions for you to answer that will give me the info I need to work on this request.  Once that is done, we can proceed with tracking down your issue.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Suzanne,

You might find your inability to download content for use with the offline player was the same issue that stopped us all accessing any content over the past few days.

Have you tried since Alicia announced that the problems had been resolved?
The fix certainly works for accessing the content online.

    Gavin

    Hi Suzanne--

My team does not directly support the E-Learning Offline Player but I can certainly help you with some resource information and point you directly to the customer support for it.

From the following page, I found the some helpful information on the regarding the Offline Player:
    https://www.microsoftelearning.com/help/help.aspx

Give that a try and if that doesn't work, I can put you in touch with the team that supports the Offline Player.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Alicia,

I have it would an issue still with accessing content. I am following the following steps.

I go to https://www.microsoftelearning.com/ then click on My Learning.

This takes me to http://learning.microsoft.com/Manager/Default.aspx where it asks me to sign in.

When I have done this it returns me to http://learning.microsoft.com/Manager/Default.aspx and states My Learning Subscriptions (7 items) and it displays the 7 items that I have purchased. I then click on one of the courses. Example course 5453 and it takes me to https://www.microsoftelearning.com/eLearning/courseContent.aspx?courseId=76404 stating that this course is no longer available with any offers.

I can not access anything that I have purchased and on the last page it is as if it wants me to log in again with the sign in button in the top right hand corner. Please advise.
