lookups binding and filtered : not yet a solution RRS feed

  • Hi,

    There is a lot of posts about lookups, but they are quite old.

    I use CRM 4.0.


    I have a situation where the user opens a case, search for an account using some string (so I cannot use

    picklist) and then selects (so I cannot use iFrame) a product *related* to this customer, then a  part

    *related* to this customer's product.

    So the case entity should enable Master-Details with lookups (each lookup should be filtered by criteria done

    by the user on the previous lookup).

    Cases are being analyzed with reports about the type of products and parts so text fields are not a good answer.


    What is the best workaround to do this? (without buying an add-on)
