Unable to Configure Crm Client for outlook. RRS feed

  • Dear all,

    Can anyone help me plz?

    I am unable to configure the Crm client for outlook.

    I have installed crm server on windows 2k8.

    When I am putting:  http://ip:5555/CompanyName   I am getting the following error:
    The request failed with the error message: 
    it gives an xml error message.

    When I am putting:  http://servername:5555/SIL,    I am getting the following error:
    The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized


    Can anyone help me please??

    you don't have to provide the organization name. Try only http://servername:5555

  • Hi there.

    You need to check your firewall on the actual CRM server....

    For example on a windows 2008 server, the port 5555 is blocked as standard, you need to go to the firewall settings and add rules to open the 5555 port.

    This is probably the reason.

  • It could be:
    - a DNS resolution error
    - a bad configuration with SPN (if your deployment is made on several servers)
    - a firewall block

    As mentionned by ibbz101, give us the exact error message when accessing the CRM with the Internet browser

    N yes, when i try to access the crm server by http://servername:5555 on browzer I can't acess it

    but when I use http://ipaddress:5555 on the browzer,  I can access it.

    any idea?

  • please post the exact error. also check event log on the CRM server. is the web interface accessible via the client machine?
