Windows Live OneCare Beta 2.5.2900.15 subscription problem RRS feed

  • Question

  •   I have been using OneCare with a beta subscription for

about 4 months. I have just recently sold the computer that

it was installed on. Today I downloaded OneCare 2.5.2900.15

and installed it on a system with XP 32 bit. I do not know

how to activate my subscription. When I try to activate a

token with my product key information the numbers I have do

not fit in either the 12 or 25 character key fields. Below

is the information I have concerning my OneCare beta

subscription information. I want to be able to run OneCare

as I was before on the system I sold but don't know how to

    get out of trial mode.

  • Chris, please acknowledge this post, so that I can delete the thread later.

If you were using the Public Beta of 2.5, it is no longer a valid subscription.

If you were using the Perpetual Beta, you must download via the instructions found on http://connect.microsoft.com for the beta program which you will see when signing on with the LiveID for your subscription. Furthermore, all discussions of the Perpetual beta belong in the private discussion group, also accessed via Connect.
