  • Question

  • Is it already known that in the German OSB version (CCQ-00017) the contens of the Connector CD and the Recovery CD (or the silk screening on those disc) are swapped?

This is the dir of the CD labeled: Wiederherstellungs-CD fuer Heimcomputer (Recovery-CD for home computer):

    [CD 132311 / Artikelnr. X13-61307]

Datentraeger in Laufwerk Z: ist WHSCNOEM_DE-DE
    Volumeseriennummer: 6463-E4D2

    Verzeichnis von Z:\

    13.09.2007  23:04    <DIR>          DOTNETFX20

                   3 Datei(en)     12.674.109 Bytes
                   2 Verzeichnis(se),              0 Bytes frei

And this is the dir of the CD labeled: Windows Home Server Connector software

    [CD 132273 / Artikelnr. X13-61302]

Datentraeger in Laufwerk Z: ist WHSRSOEM_DE-DE
    Volumeseriennummer: CE18-982E

    Verzeichnis von Z:\

    21.06.2007  23:23                64 AUTORUN.INF

    12.07.2007  06:23    <DIR>          DOCS
    12.07.2007  06:23    <DIR>          PROGRAM FILES
    12.07.2007  06:23    <DIR>          USERS

Usually this is no problem because OSBs deliver a configured system and the connector software can be found on the server as well.

But if you have to restore a PC and you try to boot from the connector CD (which of course doesn't work...) it'll drive you crazy.
