adding a phone column in the Office Communicator main screen

  I apologized if this was asked before, but i wanted to know if its possible to customize the Office Communicator main screen.  I was hoping to include a telephone number (or business extension) next to the name or availablity?  We are not using OCS for our phone system yet, maybe sometime in the next year or so.  Its just nice to have an easier way of viewing people's phone number or business extension #.
