Proxy server with parental Control

Question

I really love this product, great job Microsoft. Would it be possible to get the some sort of Proxy server (Maybe ISA) with some sort of parental control. And also thinking out the box some sort of agent software to roam the item for items of interest like for kid homework.

Most routers nowadays provide this function and have the advantage of being easily modified via a password protected page. In fact, I would prefer for this to be seperate from the server.

I have tried quite a lot of routers until now (6 to be precise), but I have found none with Proxy functionality. Which one do you use?Thursday, October 11, 2007 7:53 PM

I doubt that many will be willing to learn / administrate an ISA Server. Not a 1 hour process to say the least. Just get a full featured router at your favorite store. Many now have time & other parental type controls.Sunday, January 20, 2008 7:22 AM

That's the thing - routers with parental filters aren't the easiest thing to find.
Sometimes bad product descriptions on them (not all features listed), sometimes it just doesn't have it.Gary: take a look at Smoothwall. It'll give you (with a couple of easily installed plug-ins) just what you're looking for.
