Fail during validation of product key (windows 7 ultimate) received with complimentary software kit.

Question

Hi Guys,
This is getting really frustrating. Two months ago I after turning my PC on I was welcomed by the message that my Windows is not genuine. I have bought it on-line on the genuine site similar to Amazon. I have followed all the steps necessary to create the report and next day I have sent it with all the required proofs, and other paperwork, to Microsoft. I have waited 6 weeks for my kit (after receiving the message that my report was accepted and that the complimentary kit has shipped). During that time I was prompted every damn hour that windows is not genuine and anything I had open during that time would minimize to task bar. Very annoying indeed. Now when I have finally received the discs and new product key windows says to me that it cant activate! It sends me to follow the same path! I don't want to reinstall everything!
Please help!

Your Key appears been blocked for some reason.Darin (the forum owner) will be able to check this Key’s history and see what’s happened, when he gets a chance. Is the part of the Key visible above, the same as that part of your Key with the new WGA Kit?If not, use the Change Product Key link on the System properties page to change the Key to the WGA one, and then activate – you may well need to activate by phoneIf it IS the same, then please try the Validation site.and see what response you get.post back with your results.

Please reboot and post a new MGADiag report – things *should* have changed!

Hi Noel,
Once again thank you for your help. I had to leave my PC yesterday so I couldn't check if that helped. I am at work now, as soon as I am at home I will fire up my PC and let you know if everything is OK.
I will post the MGADiag again too.
Kind regards
Pawel

The error 0xC004C4A2 does mean "Product key blocked".
However, I have checked the Product key in the above report and it shows as Valid and Genuine.
Did you recently change your Product Key?
As Noel suggested, reboot and post a new Diagnostic Report. Going to www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate should have changed something and hopefully caused Windows to recheck itself (and it's key).
Thank you,
