install CRM server on SQL Cluster using XML file RRS feed

  • Dears Kindly advice how to install CRM Application server in SQL cluster DB , using the XML file installation

    and how to configure

    <SqlServer>CRMSQL</SqlServer>

    <Reporting URL="http://CRMSQL/ReportServer"/>

  • In SqlServer node, you need to provide the virutal name for your cluster.

    In the reporting node, I'm pretty sure it is not possible to install and configure Reporting services in a active/passive cluster so Reporting Services should be installed on your CRM front server.

  • I'm not sure it is possible but even if you could, that won't be a best practice because what happens if this SQL node crashes? You have no more reporting server...

    So the best practice is to install the Reporting services on a dedicated server or on the CRM server
