OFF TOPIC: Sonic Update Manager RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi all.

I cleared some unwanted programmes off my PC and by mistake got rid of the Sonic Update Manager.

Now when i open up Windows, it tells me to install a valid copy of the SUM installations package "UM.MSI" on a disc.? which i dont have, i think

How do i reinstall this ! please help. I've tried restoring to a earlier date but it still comes up.

    Cheers DB.

  • You're off topic for this forum unless your problem is related to Windows Live OneCare, which is the focus of these forums.

Sonic Update Manager is used by a variety of programs, most notably Sonic RecordNow. This page has a download, I don't know if will help you. http://support.sonic.com/desktop/downloads.asp?type=desktop&product=recordnow

If not, you should seek help from Sonic or in the XP newsgroups - http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/default.mspx

    Hi,

wondered if you got anywhere with this - I have the same problem (without having removed the Update manager) and also systems restore not working, so can't try to use this as a fix.

    Any info would be great!

  • I'm having the same problem.  Did you find a resolution to the problem?

    Thanks
