Something wrong with the Browse Forum Users list RRS feed

If you look at this list you will see that the last Active Date for approximately half the people listed is the 10th of December 2010.

I quite simply don't believe that statistically this is remotely possible and therefore there must be an error in the way the values in this column are calculated. (Even the long-time number one on the list is supposedly last in in February 2011 which given he used to be a daily presence also isn't that likely).

Minor problems with this list are

    1. The presence of 3 Microsoft people in it - these should be excluded from it because posting in the forums is presumably part of their job descriptions i.e. it is work.

    2. The fact that there is no longer the option of seeing any more than the top ten (and hasn't been for a long time).

Mike Walsh (probably just in the 21-40 list for points ...   oh, no, I'm not biased)

  • Thanks for the report/suggestions. We will be re eavluating the browse users going forward, perhaps moving it into the profile application.  We do already have bugs logged against the active date. We removed paging from the browse users page about a year ago, that is why you can't see more than the top users, we found that a very small percentage of users ever scrolled through the pages and didn't consider a priority use case.

Be grateful that you can still see any.   Answers 2.0 users have none.

As I knew ...   I've missed it ever since I used it regularly to see if I was catching up with Cindy Meisner. (I never was)

I asked once about it them - here it was secondary to the main point.
