hpc pack 2016 broker node failover cluster RRS feed

  • Question

  • My company is using three Head Nodes (Service Fabric Cluster) and Broker function.
We will use the Failover Cluster feature for the availability of broker nodes.

The broker node Failover Cluster configuration of hpc pack 2012 r2 has manual, but manual for 2016 is not visible

In the 2016 version, the hpcsession.exe.config file does not have a file in the path "% CCP_HOME% bin", but it is in a folder configured with SF.

The following error message is displayed when changing the HPCSesstion.exe.config file of the SF folder.

(If you are configuring Failover Cluster in 2012 R2 Version, change the value of <add key = "failoverClusterName" value = "<WCF_failover_cluster_name>" /> in the HPCSession.exe.config file.

I would like to know how to configure Broker Node Failover Cluster in HPC Pack 2016.

  • Hi jwlko,

The broker node failover cluster in HPC Pack 2016 is never validated, especially for the three head node Service Fabric configuration.

Have you ever tried a single head node for broker node failover cluster?

In the coming HPC Pack 2019, we will introduce a new HA model for head nodes, which may apply to broker nodes as well.

    Regards,
